The pandemic affected different communities and age groups across the U.S. in distinct and varied ways. It is vital that healthcare workers understand these disparate experiences and work to address inequities. This presentation will provide concrete recommendations on ways to increase identification, access, and treatment of diverse groups who have been historically marginalized and left out of established systems of care. We will also learn why early experiences are so important for very young children and how the pandemic may be affecting their development and shaping their brain architecture. Join Wanjikũ FM Njoroge, MD, as she discusses COVID-19, the disproportionality of its transmission, and its effect on the early experiences and neurodevelopment of children.
