Trauma and PTSD are highly prevalent among individuals with OCD, yet remain underassessed and undertreated in specialty care programs. There are a myriad ways that trauma and PTSD can intersect with OCD and disrupt evidence-based treatment for OCD. This lecture will address these intersections and will provide concrete clinical recommendations for assessing, conceptualizing, and treating them within the context of evidence-based treatment.
