On Demand OCD & Anxiety Lecture Series: Assessing and Treating Co-existing Eating Disorders and OCD

    OCD is the most common coexisting disorder for people with eating disorders.  There is often an overlap between symptoms, making it hard for clinicians to create an effective treatment plan. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to differentiate between OCD and different eating disorders. Attendees will be able to define different eating disorders and how they may co-exist with OCD and compare different treatment modalities, depending on the patient’s symptomology.

    Target Audience

    This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and other mental health professionals.

    At the conclusion of this activity, attendees will be able to:

    1. Differentiate between OCD and different eating disorder diagnosis.
    2. Define different eating disorders and how they may co-exist with OCD.

    About the speaker

    Kimberley Quinlan is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has a private practice in Calabasas, CA specializing in Anxiety, OCD and related disorders, and Eating Disorders. Kimberley is also the founder of CBTschool.com, an online psycho-education platform that provides online courses for those with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors. Kimberley is the author of The Self-Compassion Workbook for OCD and the host of Your Anxiety Toolkit Podcast, a podcast aimed at providing mindfulness-based tools for anxiety, OCD, depression, and BFRB’s.

    Kimberley is known for her vibrant and mindful approach to mental health issues.
