About this speaker

Lawrence W. Brown, MD, is a pediatric neurologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Director of the Pediatric Neuropsychiatry Program at CHOP with a focus on Tourette syndrome and complex attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).  He also specializes in epilepsy and sleep medicine.  Dr. Brown was drawn to neurology because of his deep interest in child development and a desire to help children challenged by neurodevelopmental disorders.

“I have always been fascinated by the miracle of childhood as language, personality, talents and independence are developed,” he says. “I have always been equally fascinated by the challenges that occur on the way.”

His philosophy of care is based on giving children the care and resources they need to reach the full extent of their capabilities.
